New explosions rocked the east and southeast of Tehran this afternoon, AFP journalists reported from the scene, quoted by BTA.
Israeli-American air strikes were carried out in the city of Qom, south of Tehran, on the building of the Assembly of Experts - the institution that is supposed to elect a new leader of Iran after the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Local media also circulated photos of a building that was severely damaged. Tasnim Agency said the attacks were the work of "American-Zionist criminals".
The Israeli army announced that it had launched a series of strikes against "infrastructure belonging to the terrorist Iranian regime in Tehran".
