President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Ukrainian Donetsk region and made a video address from the center of the city of Druzhkivka, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
In the video, Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian servicemen who are defending the country in the Donetsk region and pointed out that several military units are deployed at the front.
"Today we are in the Donetsk region and we are on our land, with our servicemen. I want to thank everyone who is defending our country - Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and our other cities," Zelensky said.
He stressed that Russia is not giving up on military operations in the Donetsk region and is preparing a new offensive in the spring. According to him, it is extremely important that Ukrainian positions remain stable and that the brigades at the front are provided with the necessary equipment and resources. The President also noted that Ukrainian servicemen are defending their positions with dignity, and that Ukraine, through its army, diplomacy and citizens, will continue to defend its country.
"All our partners in America, in Europe and everywhere in the world must clearly understand that Putin, the Iranian regime, North Korea, the regime of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and other similar regimes support each other in order to be able to do whatever they want in places like our Donbas. This evil must be stopped. Ukrainians here, in Donbas, are doing exactly that," he said.
