Iran plans to impose special tariffs on oil tankers and merchant ships belonging to US allies, CNN reported.
According to a media source, the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, despite statements by US President Donald Trump to the contrary.
“Security tariffs“ could be imposed on ships in the Persian Gulf if they belong to US allies, CNN notes.
“We have leverage to influence global oil prices. Energy prices have become volatile and we will continue to fight until Trump declares defeat,“ the source told the channel.
