A Russian drone struck an area near an apartment building in Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkiv, on Sunday, wounding six people, breaking windows and setting cars on fire, the city's mayor said, as quoted by Reuters.

Igor Terekhov said a small child was among the injured.

Kharkov, located 30 km from the Russian border, withstood an initial offensive by Russian forces after their full-scale invasion in February 2022 and has been the target of frequent Russian airstrikes since then.

Seven people were injured in another Russian shelling in the southeastern city of Dnipro, regional governor Oleksandr Ganja said on the Telegram app.

He posted photos online showing debris on the streets and damaged facades of buildings.
