The Kremlin has accused Kiev of carrying out an "irresponsible" drone attack on an energy facility in southern Russia that supplies gas to Turkey, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

"Last night there was a new attempt to strike a compressor station with drones," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. He called the pipeline an "international facility" that "guarantees Turkey's energy security".

Kiev continues to seek to obstruct the peace process, Peskov added, quoted by TASS, commenting on plans by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to meet to discuss continuing pressure on Russia.

"In this case, the Kiev regime continues its consistent line of obstructing the peace process, trying to do it in various ways, and in this case it finds a positive reaction in European capitals," the Kremlin spokesman said.
