Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel "is on the way to crushing" Iran and the Lebanese Shiite movement "Hezbollah", reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
Netanyahu said this at his first press conference after the start of the military operation by Israel and the US against Iran.
"These are historic days for the State of Israel", Netanyahu assured. "Hezbollah" will pay a high price for its aggression, the prime minister said.
The Israeli prime minister said the Israeli army was carrying out heavy strikes on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Basij paramilitary forces.
He noted that Iran was no longer the same.
Netanyahu also said that he spoke with US President Donald Trump almost every day.
The Israeli prime minister was also quoted by the Associated Press as saying that leading Iranian nuclear scientists had been killed in Israeli strikes.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced tonight that it had carried out a new series of strikes on infrastructure in Iran.
