British Typhoon fighters are involved in combat missions over Bahrain as part of Britain's support for Arab allies in the region, the BBC reports, News.bg reports.
Two of the four fighter jets based in Qatar have been redeployed to assist Bahrain in neutralizing Iranian drones.
The Bahraini authorities indicate that since the beginning of the conflict, their air defense systems have shot down a total of 190 drones and 114 missiles, with the majority destroyed by local means.
However, the kingdom is experiencing an acute shortage of close air defense systems capable of effectively dealing with drones. Tensions have increased after an Iranian drone caused serious damage to fuel tanks at Bahrain's airport two days ago, calling into question the security of the country's strategic infrastructure.
