Stub's statements appeared in the context of Finland's plans to repeal the complete ban on deploying nuclear weapons on its territory.
Moscow reacted sharply to the announced plan by the Finnish government, with the Kremlin indicating that Russia would respond to such a move that would make the neighboring country more vulnerable.
The Finnish government's plan also angered opposition parties in Finland, in including the leading Social Democratic Party in the polls, which insisted that the country clearly state that it would not deploy nuclear weapons on its territory in peacetime, Reuters points out.
