Iran was attacked with ballistic missiles launched from Bahrain.
This is the first known case since the beginning of the war of an attack on the Islamic Republic carried out directly by a country from the Persian Gulf, The New York Times reports, citing a video recording.
The U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain. It is not clear from the video whether the missiles were fired by U.S. or Bahraini forces, the article said, but experts believe at least one of the missiles was fired by U.S. equipment.
The video was posted on social media on March 7; The Times confirmed that it was filmed near a residential area and an airport in northern Bahrain.
