Iranian protesters risk being shot “right in the head”, admitted US President Donald Trump, speaking about the difficulties faced by Iranians in overthrowing the regime.
“You just mentioned to me a group of people who walk around with machine guns and shoot at them, saying: “Anyone who protests, we will kill them in the street.“ So I really think that's a big barrier for those who don't have guns," he said in a radio interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade.
Trump called on Iranians to overthrow the regime and "take power into their own hands" when the attacks on the republic stop.
"The time has come for all segments of the Iranian people - Persians, Kurds, Azerbaijanis, Balochis and Ahwazis - to throw off the yoke of tyranny and establish a free and peaceful Iran," he said.
The Republican, however, refused to make any promises about protecting the Iranian people.
