Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video on Monday of himself drinking a cup of coffee and talking to his aide, after rumors that he had been killed or wounded were aired by Iranian state media and circulated online in Iran. In the video, filmed at a cafe on the outskirts of Jerusalem and posted on Netanyahu's Telegram account, his aide asks him for comment, Reuters reported.
“I'm dying for my coffee. You know what? I'm dying for my people,” Netanyahu said in the clip.
Reuters confirmed the location of the video from file images of the cafe that match the interior seen in the video. The date was confirmed by multiple videos and photos from Netanyahu's visit today.
Since the US and Israel launched their attacks on Iran on February 28, Netanyahu has visited at least two cities hit by Iranian missiles, a hospital, a port and military bases, but media access has been severely restricted and videos have been released by his office.
