Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian reconnaissance plane over the Baltic Sea, the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces announced, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
"Polish fighter jets intercepted the Russian Il-20 plane, which was carrying out its ninth reconnaissance mission this year in international airspace without a previously filed flight plan and with its transponder turned off. The plane did not violate Polish airspace", the Polish command said.
