One person died in an attack by Ukrainian drones on the Russian city of Krasnodar, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported on the Max platform.
The drones crashed into three multi-story buildings. A fire broke out in one of the apartments, but was quickly extinguished. Another drone crashed after hitting the wall of a building, and fragments of another drone were found on the balcony of a third building.
“One person died as a result of a terrorist drone attack in Krasnodar“, Kondratyev wrote.
Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov has been instructed to provide all necessary assistance to the victims.
“I express my deepest condolences to the family of the deceased“, the regional governor wrote.
Other cities in Krasnodar Krai - Novorossiysk and Sochi - have activated warning systems due to the threat of drone attacks. Sochi airport has been closed to all flights since the evening of March 17.
