Iran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that a projectile fell last night in the area near the Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr, but it did not cause damage and there were no injuries, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

„Iran informed the IAEA that a projectile fell on the territory of the „Bushehr“ nuclear power plant on Tuesday evening. There is no information about damage to the plant or injuries among employees,“ the agency wrote in Ex.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reiterated his call for maximum restraint in the conflict to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident.

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization confirmed the information about the strike earlier today, as the Iranian news agency “Tasnim“ reported that the shell hit the vicinity of the nuclear power plant in the port city of Bushehr at around 7:00 p.m. local time.

The Russian state nuclear energy company “Rosatom“ condemned the strike and added that radiation levels around the Russian-built plant were within normal limits.
