The US and Israel struck the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz in central Iran this morning, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reported, quoted by BTA.

There was no leak of radioactive substances and residents near the site were not at risk, the agency added.

Iran fired two ballistic missiles at the US and British military base "Diego Garcia" in the Indian Ocean, Reuters reported earlier today, citing information from the Iranian Mehr news agency today.

Earlier, the "Wall Street Journal" reported that Iran had fired two medium-range ballistic missiles at the base, but they did not hit it.

Mehr said that the attack on the base was "a significant step... that shows that the range of Iranian missiles is far greater than the enemy previously thought".

CNN, citing a US official, confirmed that the attack took place yesterday morning local time. The source of the US television noted that the missiles flew a distance of nearly 3800 km from the Iranian coast.
