Iran is ready to work with the International Maritime Organization to ensure the safety of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported, citing Ali Mousavi, the Islamic Republic's representative to the organization.
He said that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all vessels, except those linked to "enemies of Iran".
According to Mousavi, the passage through the strait is possible with coordination of security measures with Tehran.
The Iranian representative added that the attacks by Israel and the United States are the reason for the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
