Paying energy bills has become Europe's number one problem, pushing the crisis in Ukraine aside. This was stated by the spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, reports the TASS agency.

''Their (in Europe) number one problem is no longer Ukraine, but how to pay the bills for gas, gasoline and electricity'', Peskov emphasizes.

The director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special representative of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev said that he knows the scenario according to which the energy crisis in the European Union and the UK will develop, RIA Novosti reported.

Thus he responded to a comment by a user of the social network X, who stated that it seems as if the Russian official already has a scenario for the events that are currently taking place.

"I know. Traditional media prevent many others from seeing the real picture by promoting false narratives that cloud their thinking. Many wrong decisions are made based on false narratives and the inability to correct mistakes, Dmitriev wrote in X.

According to him, the EU and the UK will introduce fuel rationing due to the crisis.

''As predicted, fuel rationing is inevitable in the UK and the EU. Even critics must admit that all my predictions are coming true'', he added.

Dmitriev also noted that politicians and the media in the West are acknowledging the problem with a delay of four to six weeks. He believes that the real crisis will become apparent to the public of the UK and the EU in two to three weeks. The special representative called the fuel situation in Europe a ''harsh reality'.
