An attack in which an improvised explosive device was to be activated was foiled in front of a branch of "Bank of America" in Paris, Agence France-Presse reported, citing police sources, BTA reports.
This happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Rue de Boitier. There, police noticed and detained a man who had placed the improvised explosive device. It consisted of a five-liter canister with flammable liquid and an ignition mechanism.
The case has been entrusted to the anti-terrorism unit of the Paris police.
