Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had received intelligence information that Russian satellites had filmed US military facilities in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.
"On March 24, they filmed the joint US-UK naval facility on Diego Garcia Island, located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. They also filmed Kuwait International Airport and parts of the infrastructure of the "Great Burgan" oil field. On March 25, they filmed the "Prince Sultan" air base in Saudi Arabia.
The "Shaiba" oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia, the Incirlik air base in Turkey and the Al Udeid air base in Qatar were filmed on March 26," Zelensky said in a Telegram post, adding that there were no Ukrainian sites on the list.
The Ukrainian president reiterated that pressure must be exerted on Moscow and that lifting sanctions is "definitely not pressure."
