Russian forces attacked Ukraine this week with over 3,000 drones, over 1,450 guided bombs and 40 missiles of various types, Ukrinform reported, citing a post on “Facebook“ by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, BTA reports.
“This week alone, Russia has used over 3,000 drones against our cities and municipalities – a significant part of them “Shahed“ – as well as over 1,450 guided bombs and 40 missiles of various types. The Russians' military actions against our country and our people do not subside, and at the same time they openly invest in prolonging their next war, which leads to international destabilization,“ Zelensky noted.
He stated that Ukraine is being attacked by the same drones and ballistic missiles as the countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, which leads to destabilization of world markets and blocking of sea routes.
Ukraine contributes to ensuring security and calls for clear, decisive and concerted efforts to ensure real protection of human life and to end wars, the head of state pointed out.
“We must jointly produce modern defense systems proven in war. We must unite our capabilities so that people can live in peace in Europe, the Middle East and other parts of the world,“ he added.
Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian experts have already made a comprehensive assessment of Qatar's defense capabilities and developed specific solutions to strengthen the country's air defense in the Persian Gulf.
