At least four people were slightly injured when fragments of an intercepted munition fell in the center of Dubai, UAE, the emirate's authorities said.

„A fire broke out in an uninhabited building in the Al Badaa area as a result of fragments from a shell intercepted by air defense systems. Four people who were in the immediate vicinity of the damaged building at the time of the incident sustained minor injuries,“ the emirate's press service said in a statement.

The authorities did not specify the type of projectile intercepted in the skies over Dubai.

Saudi Arabia's air defense systems have intercepted at least eight ballistic missiles launched from Iran in the past hour, the kingdom's Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, seven of the munitions were intended to hit areas near Riyadh. Another rocket was fired towards the eastern province of Ash Sharqiya, the defense ministry said.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was investigating two incidents in which peacekeepers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) were injured.

According to Al-Hadath TV, several explosions occurred in the city of Isfahan, located in central Iran, following airstrikes. Details have not yet been provided.

“The incidents are being thoroughly investigated to clarify the circumstances and determine whether they were the work of Hezbollah or the IDF“, the Israeli military spokesman said in a statement.

It is noted that “these incidents occurred in an area of active combat“, so “it should not be assumed that the incidents in which UNIFIL peacekeepers were injured were caused by IDF actions“. The press service assured that “the IDF is acting against Hezbollah, and not against UNIFIL, the Lebanese Armed Forces or the people of Lebanon“.

An Indonesian peacekeeper was killed and three others were wounded in attacks on UNIFIL personnel on March 29. Two other peacekeepers were killed in a mine explosion on March 30.

Following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1978, a UN Security Council resolution established a peacekeeping mission. Its mandate is renewed every six months. UNIFIL consists of approximately 8,200 personnel from 47 countries. Russian peacekeepers are not participating in the mission.
