Iran's President to the American Nation: We Do Not Want War. US Attacks on the People Are War Crimes

We Hold No Hostility to Americans, Declares Masoud Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the American nation amid the ongoing large-scale military campaign by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic since late February.

The politician wrote a letter to the American people, stating that "the Iranian people hold no hostility towards other nations, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries".

"Iran's actions are a measured response based on legitimate self-defense, not the start of war or aggression. The US attacks on Iranian infrastructure are directed against the Iranian people and constitute a war crime," the president said.

"The US entered the war against Iran as a puppet of Israel, which seeks to distract the world's attention from its crimes against the Palestinians," he stressed.

"There is no point in Iran and the US continuing their confrontation; the choice between confrontation and cooperation is real and will determine the future of generations. Throughout its thousand-year history, Iran has outlived many aggressors and stood firm with pride and dignity," Masoud Pezeshkian also said, quoted by TASS.
