Explosions and a fire broke out in an industrial zone in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, Fars News reported.
Located on the Persian Gulf coast in the Eastern Province, it is the world's largest industrial city and a key economic pillar of the country.
It is home to over 150 industrial facilities, including huge petrochemical plants of the SABIC company, which contribute to about 7-12% of Saudi Arabia's GDP
The agency also published a video of the massive fire.
“According to sources, explosions and multiple strikes were recorded in the industrial zone of Jubail, Saudi Arabia“, the report said. SNN.ir also reported this.
The Saudi Defense Ministry reported the interception of seven ballistic missiles and the fall of debris near energy facilities. The ministry did not specify where the fragments landed.
