The Ukrainian armed forces said they hit the Russian oil terminal Ust Luga in the Leningrad region, Ukrinform and Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces said that according to preliminary information, damage was confirmed to three oil storage tanks of the company “Transneft-Baltika“.
The head of the Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, wrote in his post on “Telegram“ that Ukrainian forces hit at least 30% of the oil storage tanks in Ust Luga.
“At least 30% of the tanks in Ust Luga were damaged as a result of the latest attacks on the Russian port“, Kovalenko wrote.
Ukrinform recalls that the Russian port was also attacked by drones in March.
At least nine people were killed today in Ukraine in Russian bombing, Ukrainian authorities said, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reported.
In the city of Nikopol, at least four people were killed and 16 were injured in a Russian drone strike on a bus, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today.
"When such terror against human beings and their lives is happening every day, blocking new sanctions against Russia, trying to weaken sanctions or negotiate with Russia would be dishonorable", the Ukrainian leader said on social networks.
In Kherson, southern Ukraine, at least four people were killed in Russian shelling and seven were injured, the head of the regional administration Oleksandr Prokudin on "Telegram".
Kherson, which is on the front line, has been a frequent target of Russian shelling since its liberation by Ukrainian forces in November 2022 after eight months under Russian occupation.
Earlier, in Dnipropetrovsk region, northeastern Ukraine, an eleven-year-old child was killed in Russian bombing, the regional governor said.
A Ukrainian drone attack on Russia killed three people in Vladimir region, governor Oleksandr Avdeev said.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russia attacked Ukraine with 110 drones that night, 77 of which were neutralized.
