US soldiers who survived Iran's strike on a US military facility in Kuwait have denied Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth's claims, complaining that their unit was in a dangerous position. This was reported by CBS News.

On March 1, Iran struck a US military facility in Kuwait, which, as previously reported, killed six US soldiers and wounded dozens. Hegseth later said that it was a well-fortified command post and that Iran used “powerful weapons“.

“I want people to know that the unit was not prepared for any kind of defense. "It wasn't a fortified position," an eyewitness told the channel.

According to him, the claims that it was a drone that "infiltrated" the air defenses are false.

According to CBS, the facility was not designed to protect military personnel from possible air attacks.

"This is probably the weakest bunker possible," a military officer told the channel. When asked about the level of fortification of the facility, he replied: "In terms of protection against drones, there is none."
