Iran decided to start talks with the US, with the mediation of Pakistan, only after the US agreed to the condition of unfreezing the Islamic Republic's assets, the Iranian state television (IRIB) reported.
According to the television company, of the two main demands of Tehran (unfreezing assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon), the first has been agreed with the American delegation, while the second is currently under discussion.
The negotiation process between Iran and the US in Islamabad has reached an expert level, the Fars news agency reported.
According to the agency, several members of the relevant committees of the Iranian delegation have traveled to the place of the negotiations.
