The Hungarian forint rose to its highest level in more than four years after data from the elections held yesterday, with nearly 99 percent of the sectional protocols processed, showed that the center-right TISA party won a majority of more than two-thirds in the country's parliament, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The forint was trading up about 2.4 euros on Monday morning, reaching a level of 366.50 forints per euro, and earlier in the session it reported 364.25 forints per euro - its highest level since February 2022

Hungarian government bonds also rose in price, with the yield on 10-year bonds falling by 40-50 basis points, and an international issue maturing in 2050 reaching its highest price level in six months, Reuters added.
