Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan accused Israel of not being able to live without enemies, WION reports. According to him, the government in Tel Aviv is trying to present Turkey as one of them.

The tensions escalated after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Donald Trump of possible provocations and sabotage that could undermine the preliminary ceasefire in the US-Israeli conflict with Iran.

Tensions between Turkey and Israel have increased since the outbreak of the Gaza war. Earlier this month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Israel would continue to challenge Iran and all its regional allies.

Hakan Fidan stressed that after Iran, Israel cannot live without an enemy. He pointed out that not only the Netanyahu administration, but also some figures in the opposition, are seeking to declare Turkey an enemy. According to him, this is a new development in Israel, which is becoming a state strategy.
