At least two ships departing from Iranian ports crossed the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, despite the US-declared military blockade, Agence France-Presse reported, citing the maritime traffic data company "Kpler" (Kpler), writes BTA.
The Liberian-flagged container ship “Christiana” passed through the strait after loading corn at the Iranian port of “Bandar Imam Khomeini”, passing the Iranian island of Larak at around 16:00 GMT yesterday (19:00 Bulgarian time), after the US blockade came into effect two hours earlier.
A second vessel - the tanker “Elpis”, flying the flag of the Comoros, was near Larak island at around 11:00 GMT and also crossed the strait at around 16:00.
