A ten-day ceasefire in Lebanon has come into effect, Israeli military radio “Galei Tzahal“ reported.
“After several hours of continuous shelling in northern Israel, a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon has officially come into effect“, the radio station said.
On April 16, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a ceasefire. He said he had spoken by phone with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and they had agreed that the ten-day ceasefire would come into effect at 00:00 Bulgarian time on April 17.
