A convoy of tankers has been spotted leaving the Persian Gulf and passing through the Strait of Hormuz, according to data from ship tracking systems cited by Reuters, BTA reported.
The convoy includes four liquefied petroleum gas ships, as well as several oil product and chemical tankers.
According to data from MarineTraffic, other tankers are moving behind them, which are also leaving the Gulf area.
The Iranian State Radio and Television (IRIB) announced yesterday on its "Telegram" channel, citing a high-ranking representative of the Islamic Republic's armed forces, that only merchant ships that have received permission from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
