A Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire at the "Gorky" oil pumping station of the Russian company "Transneft", "Reuters" reported, citing two sources.

The station supplies crude oil to Russia's largest export terminal in the Baltic port of "Primorsk".

The "Gorky" pumping station, located in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, also provides crude oil for processing at oil refineries in Moscow, Yaroslavl and Kirishi, one of the sources explained.

Ukraine's security service SBU confirmed that Ukrainian drones were responsible for today's attack on the pumping station.

The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, said that an industrial facility in the Kstovo district was damaged and caught fire overnight after being hit by debris from Ukrainian drones. However, he did not specify whether it was the "Gorki" pumping station.

According to sources, the drone attack set fire to at least two of the four oil storage tanks, each with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters.
