Direct talks between the US and Iranian delegations in Islamabad will be held on April 27, reported Barak Ravid, a correspondent for the American portal Axios, citing his sources.

“Two sources reported that a meeting between US envoys and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi could take place on Monday, after the US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff hold separate bilateral talks with Pakistani mediators“, he writes in X.

His source said that Araghchi will hold meetings with Pakistani counterparts on Saturday and Sunday - these contacts will focus on the resumption of negotiations with the US. “Organizing a trilateral meeting with the US will be considered after our meeting with Araghchi“, Ravid quoted the Pakistani source as saying.

In addition, the Iranian foreign minister has planned working visits to Oman and Russia, so the timing of contacts with the US has not yet been determined.
