Iran does not plan to meet with US representatives during Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to Pakistan, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said.
“No meeting is planned between Iran and the US, as Iran's positions will be conveyed to Pakistan“, he wrote.
Bagaei stressed that Araghchi will meet only with high-ranking Pakistani officials as part of Islamabad's mediation efforts to end the conflict in the Middle East.
Earlier, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid, citing sources, reported that direct talks between the US and Iranian delegations will be held on April 27 in Islamabad.
The press secretary White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that US President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner will travel to Islamabad on April 25 to hear the views of the Iranian side.
