The targets of the man who opened fire during the White House Correspondents' Dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Washington were members of the US administration, including US President Donald Trump. This was stated by i.f. the country's attorney general Todd Blanche, quoted by the BBC, reports News.bg.
According to him, the motives for the shooting are still being clarified, and the 31-year-old suspect Cole Thomas Allen is not actively cooperating with the authorities.
Blanche indicated that investigators are checking information according to which the shooter assembled his weapon in the hotel, but was stopped almost immediately after breaching the security perimeter.
He added that Allen will be formally charged on Monday, and in the meantime, searches and analysis of the seized electronic devices continue.
