Ukraine claims strikes on Russian warships in Sevastopol

SBU reports hit vessels and facilities in Crimea in massive drone attack

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have hit three warships at the naval base in the Russian-annexed city of Sevastopol in Crimea, News.bg reports.

This was reported by the Ukrainian special service, quoted by the BBC.

According to SBU data, the large landing ship of the Russian Navy “Yamal“, the landing ship “Filchenkov“ and the reconnaissance ship “Ivan Khurs“.

In addition, according to the statement, the Black Sea Fleet training center “Lukomka“, the headquarters of the radio technical intelligence of the air defense forces and the radar station “Mis-M1“ were attacked.

An additional attack was also carried out on the “Belbek“ airport, as well as the MiG-31 fighter jet based there and the airport infrastructure.

Ukrainian services define the operation as the second such operation in recent times, with the previous attack being carried out on April 18, in which three ships were also damaged.

On Sunday morning, the authorities in Sevastopol reported one of the most massive drone attacks on the city in recent days.

According to data from local administration said one person was killed and several others were injured.

Russian authorities have not publicly commented on the allegations of an attack on the naval base and airport in Crimea.
