Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called Ukraine's claims about the arrival of grain ships in the Israeli port of Haifa "baseless".

According to Kiev, the grain was harvested in occupied territories by the Russian army, which Ukraine considers its own. Israel responded by demanding that Ukraine provide solid evidence and refrain from replacing diplomacy with statements on social media.

„Dear Mr. Minister, diplomatic relations, especially between friendly countries, are not built on Twitter or in the media. Accusations are not proof. Evidence to support the accusations has not yet been presented. "Before turning to the media and social media, you didn't even file a request for legal assistance," Saar wrote in response to X.

Regarding the situation with the courts, he added that "the issue will be reviewed." "Israel is a state governed by the rule of law with independent law enforcement agencies. All Israeli authorities will act in accordance with the law," Saar noted.

On April 27, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga told X that the Israeli ambassador had been summoned to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on April 28, where he would be handed a note of protest. He said the Israeli ambassador had been summoned due to the arrival of a second ship carrying grain in the port of Haifa. Sibiga added that Ukraine had already sent an inquiry regarding the previous ship, but Israel had ignored it.
