The winner of the parliamentary elections in Hungary - Peter Magyar, stated on "Facebook" that today he had an "extremely constructive and successful" conversation with EC President Ursula von der Leyen about the frozen EU funds, which "soon" will be provided to Budapest, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Magyar notes in his publication that on May 25, after he has already been sworn in as prime minister, he will visit Brussels again to conclude a political agreement on the release of frozen European funds.
Von der Leyen, for her part, wrote on the social network "Ex" that her meeting with the Hungarian leader went "very well" and that the two discussed "the necessary steps to unfreeze the EU funds intended for Hungary, which were blocked due to concerns related to corruption and the rule of law".
