A Mi-8T helicopter has suffered an accident in the Russian Republic of Komi, in which, according to preliminary data, between 8 and 10 people were injured.
The helicopter made a “hard landing“ and rolled over on its side immediately after attempting to take off from a site in the city of Usinsk.
A total of 24 people (including the crew) were on board, most of whom were shift workers.
There were no reports of deaths. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, 8 people were injured, while some independent sources reported 10 injured.
An investigation is currently underway, with the main versions being a technical malfunction or pilot error in the conditions of the Arctic region. Rescue teams and firefighters are working at the scene.
Rosaviatsia classified the helicopter's rollover during landing as an "incident".
