US President Donald Trump claims that either Tehran will agree to a compromise agreement with Washington or the United States will “finish what we started“ in Iran.

“They will either do the right thing, or we will just finish what we started. Either we make a deal or they will be destroyed. One way or the other, we win“, the US prime minister said, commenting on the situation around Iran. He spoke to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House before leaving for a state visit to China.

The US leader did not give a definitive answer to the question of whether he was ready to abandon the ceasefire with Iran. “We will think about it during the flight. "And we'll think about that again shortly," the president said. He repeated his version of events, according to which Iran first agreed to a commitment from the United States not to develop nuclear weapons, but then refused to commit to it. "They're not going to have nuclear weapons. They know that. They agreed to that. But then they didn't tell me," Trump said. "We're not playing games. They're not going to have nuclear weapons," he repeated.

The president did not specify what specific issues regarding Iran he planned to discuss with Chinese President Xi Jinping. "I think we'll have a long conversation about that first. Frankly, he's doing a pretty good job. If you look at our blockade of Iranian seaports, it's no problem. And they get a lot of oil out of that region. And we haven't had any problems," the American leader noted.

"I don't think we need help with Iran. We're going to win one way or another. Peacefully or otherwise," the president added.
