An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale has shaken eastern Turkey, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.
According to the center, the epicenter was 19 km southeast of the city of Malatya, where approximately 441,000 people live. The epicenter was located at a depth of 16 km.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
