Caroline Levitt, who is leaving her post as White House spokeswoman at the end of this month, will join a Trump-supporting political financing organization, she announced last night, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
Levitt will work for the political action super committee called "Make America Great Again" (MAGA Inc.), which supports Trump.
A political action super committee is an organization that tries to influence local or national elections by financing advertisements without having a direct connection, at least theoretically, to specific candidates. Such organizations, which can accumulate unlimited amounts of money, play a very important role in American political life, AFP notes.
In front of journalists traveling with Trump in the state of South Carolina, Levitt said that she would attend the US president at the Republican Party convention in Dallas, Texas, in early September, ahead of the midterm elections in November this year.
She already worked for the same organization from 2022 to 2024 before joining Donald Trump's campaign team.
Levitt, who gave birth to her second child in early May, announced on August 12 that she was leaving her post to spend more time with her family.
