Two workers were injured in an explosion in the control room of an iron and steel plant in the Turkish city of Samsun, Hurriyet reports, Focus reports.
The incident occurred in the morning at a company located in the organized industrial zone of the city. According to initial reports, the two workers entered the control room and tried to turn on the system when an explosion suddenly occurred.
The explosion injured the workers and caused material damage to the room. The force of the explosion damaged the windows and doors of the control room.
After the alarm was raised, police and medical teams arrived at the scene. The injured received first aid and were then transported to hospital for treatment.
The causes of the explosion are being investigated.
