The number of confirmed deaths after a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck western Colombia has now reached 331. According to an official statement by The National Disaster Risk Management Authority (UNGRD) in the country, the situation remains critical, and rescue teams continue to clear debris in the most affected areas.
More than 4,600 people have been injured, and dozens are still missing. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has warned that over one million people are in urgent need of humanitarian aid, as over 31,000 houses have been completely destroyed and infrastructure in 15 departments is partially or completely paralyzed.

Meanwhile, in Europe, a powerful tornado passed through the Aude department in southern France, injuring 26 people. The local Regional Prefecture reported that the injuries of the victims were of moderate severity and they were immediately provided with medical assistance.
The element struck the area of the commune of Poma, leaving behind heavy destruction. According to the French meteorological service Météo-France, wind gusts reached speeds of over 32 meters per second (nearly 117 km/h), accompanied by heavy rainfall. About 100 houses were left without roofs or seriously damaged, and over 2,800 households in the region are still without electricity. More than 115 firefighters and rescue teams are working on the scene, clearing roads blocked by fallen trees.
