Partial results from the referendum in Iceland indicate a small lead for the Yes answer

Partial results from the referendum in Iceland on whether negotiations for accession to the European Union should be resumed indicate a small lead for the "yes" answer, reports the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service (RÚV).

According to the partial results, 51.2% of voters voted "yes" and 48.8% - "no", BTA specified.

So far, 87 thousand votes have been counted.

270 thousand people were eligible to vote. However, there is no information about the turnout in the referendum yet.
