The North Atlantic Alliance is not yet ready for a confrontation with the Russian Federation. This was stated on FREEDOM TV by the military expert and participant in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Iraq - Serhiy Grabski, commenting on the next flight of a Russian missile over NATO's eastern flank.

„The actions of the Polish side are absolutely justified, because let's be frank and ask ourselves the question: is NATO's eastern flank ready to repel a potential Russian attack? The answer is obvious – no. The answer is obvious, because Russia can easily deploy 100-200 thousand soldiers to the border of the Baltic countries and threaten to attack these countries”, Grabski said, commenting on Poland's reluctance to shoot down a Russian missile that entered Polish airspace.

The total number of military personnel in the Baltic countries is only 32 thousand people against 100-200 thousand Russian soldiers.

„Therefore, we are not talking here about Poland's reaction, but about the consolidated reaction of NATO member countries, which are not ready for a confrontation with Russia, which could lead to a possible attack on the Baltic countries, in particular along the Suwalki corridor . That is why Poland decided not to shoot down missiles until they directly threaten objects on Polish territory”, the expert explained.

Sergei Grabsky nevertheless pointed out that NATO countries have realized the danger and are taking measures to stop it.

„The decision of the NATO summit in Vilnius to deploy additional groups of troops on the territory of NATO's eastern flank, including the Baltic countries, Poland and Romania, is a confirmation. But at the moment I fully understand the reaction of the Polish military and political leadership, which, following the agreed policy of its allies, does not shoot down such missiles,” Grabski said.

Military experts say that the best thing NATO can do right now is to help Ukraine. Because if Ukraine wins the war, Putin will not attack NATO. But if he loses it, it could happen even up to 2-3 years according to some estimates. According to others, the Russian army will not have the possibility of aggression against the Alliance for up to 5 years.
