Russia and Ukraine exchanged the bodies of soldiers killed in the more than two-year war, BTA reported.
Kiev received 121 bodies of its slain servicemen, reported today in the communication application "Telegram". the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Issues.
The soldiers were killed in fighting in Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions. The International Committee of the Red Cross and other organizations acted as intermediaries in the exchange. Russia has received 29 bodies of its slain soldiers, MP Shamsail Saraliev announced in Moscow.
Ukraine and Russia have exchanged the bodies of slain soldiers several times already, and their negotiations on this issue are among the rare contacts between the two countries. The last such exchange took place on March 15, when Kiev received 100 bodies of its slain soldiers and Moscow received 69 of its servicemen.
