The campaign team of US President Joe Biden, who is fighting for another presidential term, has reached out to the voters of Nikki Haley, the Republican who until recently was fighting against former President Donald Trump to win a candidate the presidential nomination of the Republican Party, reported France Press.

The attempt to bring Haley supporters to the side of Biden is being done through a 30-second campaign ad. It is a compilation of speeches and interviews with Trump in which he makes fun of Haley. In some of them he calls her a "bird-brained woman," and in others he simply says that she does not have the qualities to be president.

The video, with which the Biden team is trying to attract Haley supporters, begins with the words: "If you voted for Nikki Haley, then Donald Trump does not want your vote." and ends with Trump himself saying that he doesn't need Haley's voters.

The ad will run for three weeks on various internet platforms in eight states where the outcome of the November election is shaping up to be contested.

Nikki Haley withdrew from the race on March 6 after falling behind in the Republican primary. Immediately afterward, Biden said he had a seat next to him for Haley's supporters. Haley herself has not given her supporters instructions on how to vote, only saying she hopes Trump will now make an effort to earn their votes.

At the same time, Trump generated criticism by publishing on his social media "Truth Social" video in which Biden is depicted lying in a helpless state, with his hands and feet bound. The drawing was made to make Biden look like he was thrown into the body of a real pickup truck in this state.

Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Chen said the drawing of Biden with his hands and feet bound was spotted in the back of a pickup truck traveling on the highway. Trump's team filmed the pickup. The footage suggests the video was taken in New York's Long Island when Trump attended a vigil for a local police officer who died in the line of duty. The video also shows pro-police flags flying from the pickup truck, which has Biden painted on it. The pickup also has the words "Trump 2024".

The video was condemned by Biden's campaign team. According to the pre-election team, the footage hinted at causing physical harm to the current president.
