There is no danger of a tsunami

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 was recorded today off the coast of Japan. According to the country's National Meteorological Administration, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific Ocean east of the northern prefecture of Aomori, at a depth of 10 km.

There are no reports of casualties or damage, and no danger of a tsunami has been announced, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
