Three people died in Zaporozhye region after Russian shelling

Russia has partially occupied the Zaporozhye region since its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Three people died as a result of Russian shelling in Ukraine's Zaporozhye region, which had already been hit hard the previous day, local authorities reported, as quoted by AFP and BTA.

Yesterday, Russia said that a Ukrainian drone had attacked the territory of Ukraine's Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which it has occupied for two years, and that the device had exploded over one of the reactors.

"Three people died and three others were injured," Ivan Fyodorov, head of the regional administration of the Zaporozhye region, said on social networks.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, three people have already died in Russian strikes in the region yesterday.
